Easter Week

Easter Week

Easter Week in Estepa is one of the most important religious celebrations in the province of Seville and in the whole region of Andalusia. It was declared an Andalusian festivity of national tourist interest in 2001.

Nine religious brotherhoods parade along Estepa from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday. Each one has their own particular pasos (floats) bearing holy images (normally wooden sculptures), music bands, robes (for the penitents) and ways of parading. The setting in which these brotherhoods parade their floats contributes to the uniqueness of this festival. The narrow streets of Estepa, as well as our dramatic corners and steep slopes create an unforgettable experience for the viewer.
